FSU Division of Student Affairs
Web Intern
Florida State University’s Division of Student Affairs is a network of campus departments and programs that offer resources to help make a student’s experience positive and impactful. At the time (Fall 2017,) the school’s digital presence was going through a rebranding process. All of the websites the Division of Student Affairs controlled were to be switched over to its new template on the content management system, Drupal. The website I had the pleasure of switching over was the Oglesby Union!
This task took all semester. The Union’s website composed of eight tabs, around 28 sub-tabs, and many more links, files, pictures, and tabs underneath the sub-tabs. As a Web Intern, I would create pages on Drupal, organize them under one another, link pages if needed, copy and paste text, edit the links and files in HTML, download media to the system, and place content in their respected blocks. My past experience using HTML in a web design course helped me tremendously when I needed to space pictures, create tables, and edit links.
The first three images are snapshots of what the former Oglesby Union website looked like, including two images of the Home page and the History page. The other five images are of the new, rebranded version using Drupal. They are also images of the Home page and History page. The last two are extra snapshots of pages on the website. Each include a side tab bar. They also feature a table, Contact block, hyperlinks, and links to forms.
