Seminole Tap Troupe
Historian
I have tap danced since I was three years old! I was fortunate my freshman year of college to find a campus organization that tap dances every week. I became their Historian my third and final year. During that time, I designed two team shirts, made collages and posted a daily “Meet the Team” post, and designed graphics for the end of the year Showcase.
In the Fall, the team needed new shirts for the new year. For the first time, we had two shirts! The reason we had a second shirt was because we were asked to walk in the school’s Homecoming Parade. It was decade themed so I made sure to keep the typeface groovy-looking since we were aiming for a retro look. The other shirt was worn during the rest of our performances. I stated our team, our school, and included the bottoms of tap shoes tapping in a circle.
Below are the two tops. The designs were created on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.

After the team pictures were taken, I posted our annual “Meet the Team” pictures where we introduce a tapper on our Facebook page, share some general/fun information about them, and include a headshot and action shot. I created a survey on Google Forms where each tapper filled out their information. I edited the individual pictures on Adobe Lightroom and made them into a collage on Adobe Photoshop. I created each individual’s caption and scheduled to share them on the team’s Facebook page.

To market our Spring Showcase, I created a banner for Seminole Tap Troupe’s Facebook account, a post for their Instagram account, and a geofilter for Facebook profile pictures.
